OK, so I admit our council does do something similar (although they say nothing about trailer size), but I think you still have to pay for the 12.  My son is a handyman, with a Transit van, but he's been known to trans-ship small bits he needs to get rid of into his Skoda Estate where its never queried... it's the same waste, though.

It's this sort of policy that results in our field gate-holes and farm tracks becoming site for dumping... which the farmer has to pay to get rid of!  [End of hobby horse!]

Went for a COVID test!

But needed fuel on the way - Morrisonís have already switched to E10, and donít sell super unleaded, so had to fill up at the nearest Shell garage!

Our town in Germany allows one trailer load per day, as long as the trailer is 2m in length or less.  As long as it's household with checked ID.  This includes green, glass, paper, plastic, metal, wood, and any other non-demolition trash as long as one places them in the designated containers; they charge a few Euros for that, unless suspected of having any asbestos, cupric oxide pressure-treated or creosote-treated wood, etc. (the latter two are accepted by appointment).  The big van shows up about once a quarter for oil, anti-freeze, paint, and other "Schadstoffe" (hazardous materials), but it has to be in closed plastic containers.  Other municipalities are said to be less accommodating.  https://www.bad-homburg.de/microsite/betriebshof/index.php

Since they tightened things up few years ago, fly-tipping by unscrupulous garden services is a growing problem ... we've had to call out the city to pick up incredible piles on the tractor paths in our hunting area :-(

I guess its technically correct as E10 means up to 10% ethanol , not is has 10% . I wouldn't take the word of the staff that it has only up to 5%

The guy in the booth at Morrisonís in Bradford just said it was E10 and they donít sell super unleaded, he directed to me to an alternative filling station.

Perhaps as you say theyíve just changed signage early, but he wasnít aware.

And yes, itís good way to get us to buy expensive fuel!

I replaced the front and rear badges on MNP 86, my lookalike SW.   The front badges are fitted purposely proud of the grille by the thickness   of a 2 BA nut. Some may not approve, but it is does look a nice feature.   Autorover kindly drew me the shape of the  backing plate off his own SW, to enable the  upper and lower badges to be joined together.
The rear lower badge has been riveted to the body with the correct head size pop rivets, the same size as the original badge above.

I towed something with it for the first time: my caravan, 1 mile to a local campsite!

Total success! I didn't notice the load.

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

nice caravan, SMW 10 I suppose?

Best wishes, Frank

Took my 52 to the local show called Jumpers & Jazz, with my 1968 Propert folding caravan. Even the kids loved the Landy

Went to the Classic car meet at Morgan Motors in Malvern. If filed up considerable later , but I like this shot as it shows the eclectic (or eccentric)   mix of cars on show (as well as lots of Morgans)

I have for  some time wanted to make a inlet pipe for water pump. with a heater return connection, (Banana Pipe).  Today  I bent  one and put it all together, Nice Job, surprised  myself. as it was my first go.  Will send a picture tomorrow, the paint is still wet.

Paint on banana pipe is now dry, so have fitted pipe onto my rig.
After bending the pipe, I fitted the top flange onto the pipe. I then bolted the bottom bracket to front cover with a spacer behind bracket.  With the pipe in place against the bottom bracket , I tacked the top of bracket to the pipe. Then removed it and completed the fix. This ensures the pipe will fit.
I finished it off with a pair of my 80" heater pipes. Not bad first attempt.
