FInally got 2 dry days in succession and got the hay baled and in. Eldest grandson did al the hard work stacking but he did get to drive the Land Rover in compensation. And a few quid.

Come off it, Robert, there's no grocery stores at the top of Chimney Bank!  And I'd have thought Kirbymoorside or Pickering would have had a more 'local' shop open.

Mind you, with that vehicle you could have said "Sorry, officer... we were just trying to find Manston Airfield to join the queue to get home"!

Youre right there is not a grocery shop at the top, but there is at the bottom!! Abbey Stores, great little shop that has looked after us very well all year, you should check them out.

Abbey Stores, great little shop that has looked after us very well all year, you should check them out.

Indeed I have visited them.  But you still went home by the pretty route (and pretty hairy too?... up that bank in icy conditions!)  Well, that's the beauty of a Series 1 in the North York Moors.

If only I could get mine running properly again.......!
