I didn't take a photo.......
They don’t call it the Jurassic Coast for nothing! Dorset may not have mountains or moorland but with most of the UK sedimentary Geology compressed into its coast from Lyme Regis to Bournemouth we are blessed with a stunning variety landscapes in a usually mild climate. That said until the Cockermouth floods, Dorset held the UK highest 24hr rainfall of a fraction short of 24”! Seasons Greetings everyone.M
Don't worry ,Dorset will still hold the record. I have only been in one 'cloudburst' and that was 1958. River Cocker meeting the River Derwent has been a flood problem for centuries , like the River Eden at Appleby. Cockermouth has its floodgates but I don't think the rivers have been dredged of boulders that were on the hillsides- some improvement. Appleby is still getting flood prevention barriers and pumping to a holding lagoon - that will be interesting. So Cumbria had the odd cloudburst & the Pennines feeding the river Eden had the same , Carlisle like Appleby & Cockermouth built since Roman times too near the river. It's just like Pakistan, agricultural land - to a very high % being the flood plain of the Himalayas. Th UK population is no longer controlled by famine or border controls
I may try Denso Tape / Petro tape wrapping.
Most prewar cars of quality had leather-gaitored springs.
