Well my 80" went to the dump and back twice towing a trailer. Will be doing it again this w/e and will take pics

Well I picked mine up from Tony my Land Rover restorer and classic car expert and have been driving all around Dublin - 20mph is abov average for the traffic so very comfortable. Last time it was on the road was 1998 and boy does it feel good. No problems and looked very well sitting in the Phoneix Park at Farmleigh - a big house given to the Govt by Messers Guinness - the black stuff people.
Absolutley thrilled with the wee motor.

I took all the alloy bits of gearbox 860960 and transfer box 1018 plus other alloys form my 49 engine off for Soda Blasting.

Does someone else's Series 1 count? If so I had my first trip in one. I started my rebuild having never driven a Series 1 (although I may have when I was about 12 but I have no idea what series it was). Enjoyed the drive which got even better when I was asked if I wanted to have a go. I thought about it for probably 0.2 of a second!!! The morning was topped off nicely by being given a very good used wing for my rebuild free of charge. Thanks Jon. Now all I need is 50 hours a day and a lottery win and I can drive my own.

Craned the overhauled engine back in - for the third time this year! It had better work this time.....

Bad times mate, I finally got mine in last weekend and have been slowly refitting exhausts etc. Seems to run well, very pleased with it

I took Kew out took her top off and went for a drive just to hear her V8 throb, when the sun is out there is no greater pleasure than driving a series one stripped right down !!

Put the truck cab back on my 109 - that should keep the weather sunny and dry for a while yet..  Out in it later annoying local drivers with my archaic hand signals as the indicators have  decided to have a summer snooze.

Also did some cursing under the bonnet of the 86 as it decided it also wanted a summer snooze until it had some new points etc...

First major outing.
Airfield House in the middle of Dublin to Russborough House in beautiful WIcklow. Part of the Irish Veteran Car CLub. A good turn out of 40 + car and 1 beautiful Series 1.....mine.
Drew alot of attention.
Glad to have made the 40 mile round trip trouble free. Glorious day and great location.
Wished i'd been at Ripon thought......

Used the Kiwi to take our sheep to the Royal Highland Show. It looked good amongst all the monster Japanese 4x4s. And we won a trophy!

   We went to pick up the Grandchildren from " Air Cadets " last night with the 86 " topless.

It caught a few glances from the cadets, unfortunately they were on parade at the time and their Drill Sergeant wasn't too amused. Cadets were told " it's only a b.....y Landrover with the top off ... EYES FRONT "  !!!!

Went to Black Rock Sands for the day, we took our 3 Month Old Grand Son and Daughter-in-Law via the B4391 over the Welsh Mountains using the Discovery V8 on LPG.

Really hot on the Beach today, managed to top up the tan, and Porthmadog was surprisingly busy.
