Series 1 trailer
- Jun 16, 2021 - 09:01
Hi,
I am a member of the S2 club but donít know enough on S1 to advise my friend so I have registered on this forum help, advice or tips on an 80 inch I believe that was converted to a trailer.
It may still have the original running gear.
She would like to know if itís just a trailer and get rid for £200 or is it worth more in spare parts.
She may be able to get the chassis number as the front end was kept by a friend but is having difficulty contacting them.
Located in the Wirral
Any advice much appreciated.
Thank you
P.S Iíll try to post some pics

The tub looks to be in fairly good condition so may well be worth saving for someone as a spare/replacement.

Agree, tub looks well worth saving and even the rear 1/2 chassis looks in better shape than my one!

Looks like it has had a small Butler military trailer connector on the rear cross-member so maybe an ex military truck as well. Two small bolts to the right of the drawbar.

Would be heavy to tow, but look good behind any Series1.   Well worth saving.

That was the fate of many a tired 107/ 109 pick up after they were run into the ground  on the farm i bought one for £40 20 years ago just for the tub and tailgate. Still got bits of the chassis but rotten. ( very acidic soil around Hexham)
