Hello, Aubrey Kirkham, a Funeral Director from Shropshire/ Mid Wales here. Recently purchased an 88" Series One, which we are working hard to make road ready, perhaps in about two weeks. I am the Fourth owner of our Series One and have some history, interestingly the First Owner in 1956 his name was Aubrey, what a Coincidence. It is fitted with a non Land Rover petrol engine, which we shall try and replace, in time.
Keep up the good work and excellent contacts. Regards to all your readers. Aubrey Kirkham
2 Thanks.

Hi Aubrey and welcome. How about pictures?  Whatever engine it has is part of its history so don't be in a rush to change it if it works. Remember it is only original once and patina is good and interesting, as well as cheaper than a full paint job!

Sounds interesting. What engine, a common one?

Hello and welcome to the forum and the club.  Be nice to see pictures when you have time to share.  I note that your location comes up as your post code.  In the interests of security it might be advisable to change that to make it less specific.  We are not the only ones who like old Land Rovers these days
