Front axles for 80''

Struggling to find a front axle or parts for an 1950 80''. Any ideas or suggestions?
If all else fails will a 86'' fit?

Have you tried Jon Homes?

To fit an 86 axle you would have to alter the spring perches if you have narrow springs but you could fit the swivel housing and half shafts etc from an 86 to an 80 axle case but you would lose the tractor joints which are much better than the hookes joints on the 86 half shafts.
Which parts do you need?  I once had a broken tractor joint repaired.

I once had a broken tractor joint repaired.

Out of interest, how was it broken and repaired? As you say, these are normally very strong.

I am not sure, it was done in the tool room where my dad worked.  I presume it was built up with weld and ground back.  They had the piece from the other swivel as a pattern.  It was still going strong 15 years later.

When I got the land rover, it was a wreck and was showing major damage to the chassis directly above the swivel housing that had the broken joint and the wing was badly mangled.
