sending parcels from the UK

Does anyone know a good website for HS codes (numbers) ?


I put 871372 on steel land rover parts but the parcel was sent back with no explanation, I also fill in a customs form.

Hi Dale when looking on the bearmach website they ask for an EORI number to ship to Europe.
Think the best is to contact your customs agent.

I have no luck talking to a person when ringing them up.
Will try sending when parcel force are posting overseas, as I do not want to waste any more money, and maybe get help at the post office.

Dale i asked at my local Post office last week about custom codes but they were no help.
I think you may have to look on a Gov. website.

Try www.trade-tariff.service.gov.uk/headings/4901 You have to go through quite a few steps to get the full code you need, but it worked for my DVDs and Adam Bennett's 'First Overland Photobook'.

That is the website that I used, but getting a DVD sent back is one thing, but a 15Kg parcel is another ! and I can not cover the cost of it coming back again.
Just hope things can come to a mutual understanding at the borders.
