The multi-coloured 'Swap Shop'
- Nov 03, 2011 - 15:18
Following on from a discussion on the Rover-Landers board, post up your items to swap here. Don't forget to include pic's and a good description. For moving big bits east/west & visa-versa I'll prob be heading to Calgary over christmas/new year and could drop stuff off at my buddies place, TRS Auto (The Rover Shop). My buddy, Jason will prob be heading to Revy over the ski season so there is opportunity to pony-express non urgent parts then also. If anyone else is travelling, post up your plans & it might help us all out  ;D

Cheers,
Andy

Looking for decent (that would be better than mine) wings (L&R) for my rebuild.

Have two complete trucks so tell me what you are after and I may just have it.

Cheers eh?

Dave

I have a non original carb that was working, but swapped for the original solex that you can have if you want it until you can find the real deal.

Hey Dave, I sent you a note on FB as well, but if you still have that carb "floating" around (pun intended) then I'd love to borrow it from you at Founders Day.

I warn you though, it may be ages before I return it.

Curious about that non-standard carburetor.  I see a couple of no-name solex copies out there.  Wondered how well they worked and anything else interesting about them.  I have a Carter WO apparently off of a WWII flatfender jeep, that seems to work well but is pretty much in need of a rebuild or replacement.

Hi Bill, It is a SOLEX 32-34 Posit-2. apparently from a early 70's VW Van. It did work prior to removing it. But have no idea on power, fuel consumption etc....
