While sorting through box of items that came with my latest project was this item which has me thinking it connects to gear box for reverse lights or somewhere else , any help to identify it and where and what and how itís fitted be of great help .
Cheers

Part 216380, bracket for mixture control - best to check the workshop manual, or parts list - It goes behind the dash, and the switch part is used to operate the choke warning light circuit.
Dave.

Hi John, if youíre keeping the diesel in the vehicle you donít really need that....Is there a stop cable and how are the heater plugs connected?

Assuming you keep the diesel engine, there is the starter and heater plugs switch   on a 2.25 diesel,   not a start cable , but you will require a stop cable which is next to the switch   . The  stop cable fits in a similar position as the choke cable would be on a petrol . The parts you question are  not required.

Hi folks thank you for all your replies and information too
Iím keeping it as diesel and on the 2:25 going in I upgrading the glow plugs and have a kill cable firit also as had same set up in my series three and series 2a but since upgraded series three to a 2.5 n/a turbo itís just a kill electrical switch fir the solenoid and started from the key but also have a battery isolation switch fitted so power to all electrics are cut off plus one other switch.
My series 2a is standard factory fitted original with a 2:25 fitted and is all set up as it left factory so no changes or that planned for her just get her finished and on road so I can get the series one into garage to get started on her restoration and been slowly removing all the bodged farmers repairs and fitting of home made back flatbed plus having to remove his farm made bulkhead so can fit a proper series one so it all original and back to how she would if looked when she left the factory as best as I can get her so let the fun begin and catch you all maybe with my next mystery item if I find one
Cheers
John

The switch on the choke mechanism is the same type as the original brake light switch...
