Lucky chaps. My dream to get my ex RAF alongside a Spit, alas I was in Hosp last week for a minor heart op and have been limited from driving these last few weeks :( Thanks for posting picture all the same.

Hi Tim

That looks like Tom Pickfords very smart and recent rebuild for a customer. I know John Place went with you a couple of years ago.
Thanks Tim.

Is that an ex RAF MP 80", hadn't realised from the other image you posted that it was in black! Very nice. According to my older brothers my father had a beaten up black S1 when I was born, it came with a hotel they were running in 1955, so more than likely an ex military like this one.

Yep I'd noted you'd had the trophy before, so I'm very humbled to have won it last year. I saw the car at Bicester it is a nice full restoration and good to see another ex RAF in the limelight. Also pleased to see D Day was commemorated at Goodwood this year on TV as I convalesce. My late father was involved in the planning of Neptune at Southwick House Portsmouth before being landed on Juno on D Day himself.
